Photoshop Creations

It's been a while since I updated my blog. Its Examination week and I'm too busy checking papers and tinkering with the new laptop provided by the school. Teehehee, thanks to the generosity of Bro. Tan, faculty members can avail of laptops, through a monthly salary deduction. Here are some of the photos I manipulated using Photoshop.

Here's the original pic of a cute kid, with a rather weird expression on his face. Ma'am Ilyn took this picture on an outing. She called the attention of this kid (her nephew, Brian) and when the gullible kid looked up, she snapped away.

With photoshop brushes downloaded from Deviantart, and a little bit of pixie dust. This rather plain-looking picture was transformed into:

Now, there's a reason for that wide-eyed urchin to look up and oggle at falling snowflakes. (^o^) and here's another one:

See? Tinkerbelle would really have been proud. Hehehe. Well, that's it for now. I'd better get back to my moldy teacher's corner...

First Entry - I ought to make this one special

Thanks to the endless "kakulitan" of Barbie, I finally found time to start blogging. This is my second one actually. I have...erm... "had" one at livejournal.com. It still exists, I guess, but I have abandoned it for lack of creative energy. Browsing through it gives me this weird feeling of being too “angsty” and ridiculously corny. Anyway, the old page is too cluttered with pictures of Jeon-Ji-Hyun (that Korean girl from Sassy Girl). So, moving here at blogspot is an opportunity for me to start anew and renew my ties with narcotic writing, narcissistic philosophical soliloquies and deviant literary attempts. Okay, so this first entry is dedicated to “Peter Pan Syndrome” (PPS)– the reason why my blog is entitled, “Flights of Fancy”, is uh, well, because of Peter Pan, that everlasting archetype of unrestrained freedom and positivity. It was only a year ago, that I came upon a blog (http://www.evanbailyn.com), and found out about PPS. After a minute or so of browsing through the posts, I found myself muttering and nodding in agreement. OMG! I have Peter Pan Syndrome!
Quote from the blogger: “In a society where the vast majority of people act adultlike, it helps to have a fantasy world - a place that nobody can ever see or influence no matter what is happening in your physical environment. Keeping such a place inside you, hidden away from everything else, can greatly counterbalance all the external events that are out of your control.” Do you still have that childlike spirit within you? Do you find happiness in little things? Do you dream of escaping the harsh realities of the world and flying away to a land where nobody grows old – and all things are possible – with happy thoughts and a little bit of pixie dust? Well, I do… and I hope this would never go away. Go visit his site, who know? You might have PPS too… That’s it for now. It might take a long time before I can post a new one. Thanks for the tip Barbs. (^O^)
